Photo post-processing is to execute touch-up tasks for photos that is done after a photo event which prepares the photos for presentation and delivery to the client. These touch-up tasks help to make sure your creative flare is applied and the photos aren't just another photo captured my just anyone.
I don't believe in just taking photos, dropping them to a media (CD/DVD), and then delivering them to the client. This is like building a car without painting it and sticking it out on the lot for sale. On frequent occasions I have presented finished and unfinished photos to people and the difference in their reactions is staggering. If you're a photographer and you haven't learned how to do post-processing touch-up tasks, you can follow some of my tips heres or pick up a book at your local library or book vendor and start making your photos "snap".
Some of the most common post-processing touch-ups are:
- Adjusting white balance temperature and tint
- Color saturation
- Levels for color balance
- Unsharpen mask (which is really)
